Brief Description:

Culpeper Football Association (CFA) provides a recreational football and cheerleading league that will foster in our area youth the qualities of sportsmanship, team play, and integrity.

Mission Statement

CFA believes that the well-being of the sport depends on a broad appreciation of the game, excellence in coaching, an emphasis on safety and health, high levels of youth participation and collaboration with the many partner organizations involved in youth football and cheerleading.  We will promote this through fun, family, and fundamentals

Board Information and Direction:

All board meetings are held on 2nd Monday of each month at 7 pm.  Meetings are held at the Culpeper County Library (located at 271 Southgate Shopping Center).

Programs:

The CFA offers several different programs to include Tackle Football (Fall), Anklebiter Flag Football (Fall), Boys Flag Football (Spring), Girls Flag Football (Spring & Fall), and Cheer (Fall).

All ages are based on the participant age as of August 1st of the current year:

  • Anklebiters - Ages 5 & 6 (Flag)
  • Mighty Mites - Ages 7 & 8 (Tackle)
  • Midgets - Ages 9 & 10 (Tackle)
  • Bandits - Ages 11 thru 13 (Tackle)
  • Girls Flag Football - Ages 8 thru 17 (Flag)
  • Boys Flag Football - Ages 7 thru 17 (Flag)
  • Cheerleading - Ages 5 thru 13

History:

In 2004, Mark Settle and Tim Morris created Culpeper Football Association (CFA) to provide a recreational football and cheerleading league that will foster in our area youth the qualities of sportsmanship, team play, and integrity.  CFA has grown from 250 participants in 2004 to over 700 in 2011, making CFA one of the largest youth football leagues in the State of Virginia.
